If you are new to beekeeping and wondering where to begin, this section will guide you through the first steps of setting up your hive and getting your colony established. In beekeeping terms, the wooden equipment (boxes, frames, feeder, bottom board, and cover) is called the "hive", while the bees themselves are referred to as the "colony".
